I'm Courtney Barriger, and my journey began with a simple but powerful vision: to use storytelling to create positive change in the world. Armed with a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Florida, I set out to make my mark through writing and art, never knowing that my path would lead me to become a voice for sustainable fashion.
During my time as a model in Los Angeles, I witnessed firsthand the environmental and human costs of the fashion industry. This experience transformed my perspective and purpose. Instead of just being part of the system, I chose to challenge it. As a designer, writer, and filmmaker, I now dedicate my work to exposing the truth about fast fashion while championing sustainable alternatives.
My artistry manifests in many forms - from designing eco-conscious clothing to writing books that educate and inspire, to creating films that illuminate the path toward a more sustainable future. Each project is a brushstroke in a larger picture, painting the possibility of a fashion industry that nurtures rather than depletes our planet.
As we stand at this crucial moment in history, I'm here to be a witness and catalyst for change. My greatest hope is to continue living as an artist and documentarian, present and active when the tide finally turns toward sustainable fashion. Through my work, I aim to prove that style and sustainability aren't just compatible - they're inseparable.
Join me on this journey as we reimagine fashion's future, one conscious choice at a time.
