Environmental allegory and spiritual hero’s journey, The Royal Robe is the first of its kind - a quest to find a new kind of garment. With a timeless charm it tells the story of young Cai who is forced to leave the safety of her township to travel the word in search of a new coronation robe for the queen-to-be, learning the perils of the garment industry through a series of extraordinary trails and encounters. Her personal odyssey culminates with a return to court, where she is faced with the realities of change and breaking conformity.

The Royal Robe is a limited edition art project in collaboration with The 14th Factory, Hong Kong, opening in spring 2022. Pre-orders will be mailed as soon as the opening day of the gallery.
